2. violent conflicts between the colonists and/or British forces against the natives
3. The westward expansion (there's a special name for it) Colonists kept colonizing deeper and deeper into the mainland until reaching the western sea coast. killing 10's of thousands on the way there

The government took control of the industrial power of the US and made many business produce material for the war. The role of government changed to where they had much more control over the economy and the major corporations which they previously had little control over, especially in the beginning of the 1900’s where it seemed they had no control.

Around 10% British soldiers deserted for fear of harsh treatment or misconduct by their peers.These soldiers settled in American colonies.Most of these 10% soldiers married American women and did not want to leave their new family behind in USA.There was harsh conditions during war and skirmishes and it meant discipline was severe too.Crimes such as theft or desertion could result in hanging or punishment of lashings in public.
