Lewis included by asking for this moment in time to be “your generation who laid down the heavy burdens of hate at last and that pace finally triumphed over violence, aggression and war,” adding,”let the spirit of peace and the power of everlasting love be your guide.” He showed us why the soul of our nation is worth fighting for. “Democracy is not a state.
