Answer:

Finance charge = $0.13725

New balance =$100.55

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The account balance on April 1st is $60.15. On April 15th a payment of $51.00 is made. On April 25th a purchase of $91.27 is made. The annual rate is 18%.

To find : What is the finance charge and what is his new account balance?

Solution :

Previous balance = $60.15

Payment = $51

We find the unpaid balance,

Unpaid balance = Previous balance - Payments

                           = $60.15 - $51

Unpaid balance  = $9.15

We have given rate of interest= 18%=0.18

Now, we find the finance charge

Finance charge = Finance rate × Unpaid balance

Finance charge = \frac{0.18}{12} \times 9.15

Finance charge = $0.13725

New balance =  Unpaid balance + finance charge + new transaction

New balance =  $9.15 +$0.13725+ $91.27

New balance =$100.55

Hi there:-)

Unpaid balance=60.15−51=9.15
Finance charge=9.15×(0.18÷12)=0.14
New balance=9.15+0.14+91.27=100.56

Hope it helps

A seat on a Ferris wheel is level with the center of the wheel. The diameter of the wheel is 210 feet (ft). If the wheel
frutty [35]

Answer:

The change in the height of the seat of the Ferris wheel is a reduction in height of approximately 74.25 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The given information are;

The position of the seat on the Ferris wheel = The center level of the wheel

The diameter of the Ferris wheel = 210 feet

The angle of rotation of the wheel = 45° counterclockwise

The height of a point on the Ferris wheel is given by the relation;

h = A·cos(b·x + c) + d

With regards to the question, we have;

h = The height of the seat of the Ferris wheel

A = The amplitude = 1/2 × The diameter of the wheel = 210/2 = 105 feet

360/b = The period

c = The phase shift = 90°

d = The mid line = 0

For a rotation of 45° counterclockwise or-45° clockwise, we have;

b·x = 45°, therefore;

h  = 105 × cos(45° + 90°) + 0 = 105 × cos(135°) + 0

h = 105 × cos(135°) ≈ -74.25 feet

Therefore, the height of the seat of the Ferris wheel reduces by 74.246 feet.

Answer:

The inverse function of f(x)=2.5*x+150 is f⁻¹(x)=\frac{2}{5}x-60

Step-by-step explanation:

An inverse or reciprocal function of f (x) is called another function f ⁻¹(x) that fulfills that:

If f(a)=b then f⁻¹(b)=a

That is, inverse functions are functions that do the "opposite" of each other. For example, if the function f (x) converts a to b, then the inverse must convert b to a.

To construct or calculate the inverse function of any function, you must  follow the steps below:

Since f (x) or y is a function that depends on x, the variable x is solved as a function of the variable y. And since inverse functions swap the input and output values (that is, if f (x) = y then f⁻¹(y) = x), then the variables are swapped and write the inverse as a function.

You know that he function f(x) = 2.5*x + 150 or y=2.5*x +150

Solving for x:

2.5*x +150=y

2.5*x= y-150

x=\frac{y-150}{2.5}

x=\frac{y}{2.5}-\frac{150}{2.5}

x=0.4y-60=\frac{2}{5}y-60

Exchanging the variable, you obtain that <u><em>the inverse function of f(x)=2.5*x+150 is f⁻¹(x)=</em></u>\frac{2}{5}x-60<u><em></em></u>
