The square root for 18 is 4.242.... , not sure how you want it estimated

Another way to estimate sqrt(18) is to understand that

sqrt(18)

=sqrt(9)sqrt(2)

=3sqrt(2)

=3*1.414

=4.242

Note: estimate for sqrt(2) can be by common usage, or the fact that 14*14=196.

memorizing a few square-roots is an advantage in these situations:

sqrt(2)=1.41421356

sqrt(3)=1.7320508

sqrt(5)=2.2360680

etc.

padilas [110]

Answer:

12 Scoops

Step-by-step explanation:

Darla has 4 Cylinder Shaped Buckets

Volume of the Cylinders =4*\pi r^2h

The scoop is cone shaped and:

Volume of the Cone Scoop =\frac{1}{3} \pi r^2h

Since the radius and height of the cone scoop and cylindrical buckets are the same,

The number of Cone Scoops it will take to fill the buckets is:

Total Volume of Buckets/Volume of Cone Scoops

=\dfrac{4*\pi r^2h}{\frac{1}{3} \pi r^2h} \\=4 \div \frac{1}{3}\\=12

It will take 12 Scoops to fill the 4 buckets.

What's the solution to<br> 1/5+1/3x&gt;1/2-1/4?
Serjik [45]

Answer:

x> 3/20

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's solve your inequality step-by-step.

1 /5  +  1 /3  x>  1 /2  −  1 /4

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the inequality.

1 /3 x+  1 /5  >  1 /4

Step 2: Subtract 1/5 from both sides.

1 /3 x+  1/ 5  −  1 /5  >  1 /4  −  1 /5  1 /3  x>  1 /20

Step 3: Multiply both sides by 3.

3*( 1 /3 x)>3*( 1 /20 ) x> 3 /20

Answer:

x>  3/ 20

Hope this helps!!
