Well, it depends on the program, especially if it's an art program but for you,  it would be. Zoom Slider.
Some programs there are magnifying glass icons with an - and + sign in them that you use to increase or decrease size.
Some programs let you use your mouse wheel or something on your trackpad (if you use laptop/computer)
Some have a mix of both.

But again, Zoom Slider is your answer.
