What is a cause and effect of a local environmental problem related to human activity?
Fantom [35]
There is a serious problem related to global warming is that in British Columbia there is a scourge of our pine trees occurring in our dry Interior of what is called a pine beetle. Since it doesn't get below about -30 degrees centigrade for 3 weeks anymore in the winter, these pests do not get killed in the winter so for probably at least 15-20 years now they have gone on the rampage and killed large swaths of our pine forests.

When the sawmills in BC saw this pine beetle-killed lumber it is so dry it creates a lot of fine dust in the mills. Due to poor control of this dust there has been two explosions in which this dust has ignited and 2 or 3 workers have been killed as a result. So in this way global warming can be deadly to human activity if extra precautions are not taken.

Which type of water is the least dense?
Ronch [10]

B, cold with a high salt content, I believe. Since density is mass divided by volume, adding salt would increase mass. Temperature is related to kinetic energy and the distance between molecules/atoms of a substance. The hotter the substance, the more distance there is between particles. Generally cold water is more dense. Hope i helped :D
