1--diseases and domesticated animals were introduced. Diseases reduced native american population and animals provided new ways to work and eat. 
The horse was particularly useful for agriculture, transportation, and as a military weapon.

2. Resistance by Native Americans can be shown in their fight against Christianity. The Pueblo Revolt for example is a rebellion against the Spanish in their attempts to squash Native American ritual and replace with Christian rules.
