Decreasing by $52 every year, we need to subtract 52 for each year.

350 is the original price.
52x is the amount decreased by how many years

350 - 52(3) = ?
350-156 = 194

Answer: Matt should sell his iPod for $194 in 3 years

The equation is
y = 350 - 52(x) where x signifies the number of years and y signifies the value of the iPod.

Since the question asks for the value after 3 years, x becomes 3.

The equation is
y = 350 - 52(3)

y = 52(3) = 156

The equation is simplified to
y = 350 - 156
y = 194

Answer: $194

F(x)=2x^2-x-6 g(x)=4-x (f+g)(x)
Semenov [28]

\large  \boxed{(f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x)}

The property above is distribution property where we distribute x-term in the function.

Substitute both f(x) and g(x) in.

\large{ \begin{cases} f(x) = 2 {x}^{2}   -  x - 6 \\ g(x) =  4 - x \end{cases}}  \\  \large{f(x) + g(x) = (2 {x}^{2}  - x - 6) + (4 - x)} \\  \large{f(x) + g(x) = 2 {x}^{2}  - x - 6 + 4 - x}

Évaluate/Combine like terms.

\large{f(x)  + g(x) = 2 {x}^{2}  - 2x - 2}

The function can be factored so there are two answers. (Both of them work as one of them is factored form while the other one is not.)

\large{(f + g)(x) = 2 {x}^{2}  -2x -2}

<u>Alternative</u>

\large{(f + g)(x) = 2({x}^{2}  -x - 1)}

<u>Answer</u>

  • (f+g)(x) = 2x²-2x-2
  • (f+g)(x) = 2(x²-x-1)

Both answers work. The second answer is in factored form.

Use the cosine function.

cos x = 2/12
cos x = 0.167

use the inverse of cosine:

x = 80.405

The answer is C.

Hope this helps :)

Schoolyard has an area of 3,564ft.² the section that is in the shape of a triangle is just for picnic table and what is the area
asambeis [7]

Answer:

The area of the section for the picnic tables is 1,188\ ft^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The area of the schoolyard is equal to the area of a rectangle plus the area of a triangle

so

3,564=44*(2x-x)+\frac{1}{2}(2x-x)*44\\ \\3,564=44x+22x\\\\3,564= 66x\\ \\x=54\ ft

The area of the triangle is equal to

22x=22*54=1,188\ ft^{2}
