The most threatening fear for United States was that if one nation fells in the clutch of Communism then the nearby nation will also get in the clutches of communism. The theory was named as Domino theory.

Cold war amid Soviet Union and United began in 1947 after demise of Second World War. The conflict amid them was marked as Proxy war that left world in the hands of two superpower US and USSR with intense political and economic alterations. USSR adopted dominos policy to spread his influence according to which if one country of a region comes its influence then the nearby countries will automatically will adopt communism and though it USSR can uphold its  need of envelopment round the domain.
