Answer: y+7x=499

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line  passes through the points (a,b) and (c,d) is given by :-

(y-b)=\frac{d-b}{c-a}(x-a)

Hence, the equation of a line  passes through the points (7, 450) and (14, 401) is given by :-

(y-450)=\frac{401-450}{14-7}(x-7)\\\\\Rightarrow y-450=\frac{-49}{7}(x-7)\\\\\Rightarrow y-450=-7x+49\\\\\Rightarrow y+7x=49+450\\\\\Rightarrow y+7x=499

 Sandra sells necklaces at a school craft fair. She uses the equation P= 7.5n - (2.25n + 15) to determine her total profit at th
gregori [183]
The way you find profit is to subtract the revenue and the cost
Profit = Revenue - Cost
The revenue is the amount of money coming in, the cost is the amount of money going out. The goal of course is to have the revenue larger than the cost so that the profit is positive.

So the equation given is
P = 7.5n - (2.25n+15)
and its in the form
P = R - C
where...
R = 7.5n is the revenue equation
C = 2.25n+15 is the cost equation

Focus on the revenue equation
R = 7.5n
which is the same as
R = 7.50*n

This tells us that Sandra pulls in a total of 7.50*n dollars where n is some positive whole number. It represents the number of necklaces sold. For example, if she sold n = 10 necklaces, then
R = 7.50*n
R = 7.50*10
R = 750
meaning that Sandra has made $750 in revenue

As you can see above, the revenue is computed by multiplying the price per necklace ($7.50) by the number of necklaces sold (n) to get R = 7.50*n

So that's why the answer is $7.50

Note: The 2.25 is part of the cost equation. This is known as the variable cost. It is the cost to make one necklace ignoring the fixed cost (eg: rent). The variable cost often doesn't stay the same, but algebra textbooks often simplify this aspect.

The number is between 58and 68 it has prime factors of 2,3 and 5 what is the number
Alex17521 [72]
The answer is 60 because it can be divided by all three numbers. Next time you come across problems such as these, I suggest you start by looking at the number that makes sense logically. For instance, numbers that have 5 as a factor must end with 0 or 5, narrowing the options down to 65 and 60. Since 65 is an odd number, the answer can only be 60.

Matilda has 16 3/4 hours to finish 3 consulting projects. How much time may she spend on each project, if she plans to spend the
Mrac [35]

Answer:  D

Step-by-step explanation:

To find how much time she need on each project divide the time by 3 because there are 3 projects and to get to 1 project you will need to divide by 3.

16 3/4 =  67/4

\frac{67}{4} ÷ \frac{3}{1}  = \frac{67}{12}   = 5 7/12
