To the nearest minute, at what time will the hour hand and minute hand be in the same position between 8 and 9 o'clock?
alekssr [168]

Answer:

8:40

Step-by-step explanation:

For the hour hand and the minute hand to be at the same position between 8 and 9 o'clock, then the two of the hands must be at either the 8 hour mark or the 9 hour mark.

If the hour and the minute hand is at point 9, then the time would be 9:45 which is not between 8 and 9 o'clock. But, if the the hour and the minute hand is at point 8, then the time would be 8:40 which is between 8 and 9 o'clock.

What is one difference between fixed–rate mortgages and variable–rate mortgages?
Illusion [34]

Answer: The answer would be Variable- rate mortgages usually start at lower interest rates than fixed-rate mortgages.

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all let us know what fixed-rate mortgages and variable-rate mortgages are.

In fixed rate mortgages interest rates are fixed when we take loan and remain same for loan's entire term and it has nothing to do with market interest rate changes.

While in variable-rate mortgages interest rates may go up and down because it changes as market interest rate change.

Upon looking at our options we can see that option B is correct because usually variable-rate mortgages start at lower interest rates than fixed-rate mortgages and goes up or down according to market interest rate change.

PLEASE HELP ASAP! SHOW STEPS IF POSSIBLE! I looked all over my text book and couldn't find anything to help me solve these last
kicyunya [14]
1. A. 1908. In the first year, (a year is 12 months), he paid 159 a month so 159 times 12 is 1908. (You are correct on this one)

2. A. 1908. In the second year, (again a year is 12 months), he paid 159 a month so 159 times 12 is 1908.

(Btw : there would be a third year 36/12=3. He would also pay another 1908 in the third year. To get your answer for number three either do the stragety I wrote for it or do 1908+1908+1908+2399=8123 or (1908•3)+2399.

3. C. 8123. Well 159 times 36 is 5724 plus 2399 and get 8123. That is the total cost of the lease.

Hoped I helped!
