As the Earth rotates on its axis and revolves around the Sun, the Earth goes through seasonal changes. Why does this happen?

Answer:

B

Explanation:

The Earth goes through seasonal changes because the Earth's axis is tilted.

Because the Earth's rotational axis is tilted, the Northern Hemisphere sometimes tilts toward the Sun, and sometimes it it tilts away from the Sun. Summer occurs in the Northern Hemisphere while it tilts toward the Sun and receives more sunlight. Winter occurs in the Northern Hemisphere while it tilts away from the Sun and receives less sunlight.

When the Northern Hemisphere tilts toward the Sun, the Southern Hemisphere tilts away from the Sun. The opposite is also true. So, the seasons are always opposite in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. For example, when it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere, it is summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

Why is photosynthesis important to autotrophs? Why is it important for heterotrophs?
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

Explanation: Most autotrophs make their "food" through photosynthesis using the energy of the sun. Heterotrophs cannot make their own food, so they must eat or absorb it. ... Food provides both the energy to do work and the carbon to build bodies.
