Answer: Heredity is a biological phenomenon that involves transfer of genetic information from parents to their next generation that is to their offsprings. The genetic information is transferred through genes, which are the basic unit of heredity. In simple terms heredity reflects the inheritance of traits ( like skin tone, eye color) by children from their parents.

Genes are the segments of DNA that contain genetic instructions in the form of nucleotide sequences.

Thus, heredity is defined as the passage of genetic instructions from one generation to the next generation.

Answer:

Heredity is a biological process which involves passing of genetic information from parent to their offsprings. The genetic information is in the form of genes which are transmitted from parents to their offsprings by the mode of asexual and sexual reproduction. A gene is a basic physical and functional unit of heredity. Genes contains the genetic codes or sequences of nucleotides bases for the production of specific proteins. Hence, genes are expressed in the form of proteins to develop genotypic and phenotypic traits similar to parent in a offspring. This proves that heredity is the passage of genetic instructions from one generation to the next generation.

Answer: See below

Explanation:

Solar energy: Advantages: Solar energy is pollution free and causes no greenhouse gases to be emitted after installation. Disadvantages: Although solar energy can still be collected during cloudy and rainy days, the efficiency of the solar system drops.

Wind energy: Advantages: It doesn't pollute air like power plant relying on combustion of fossil fuel. Disadvantages: Wind turbines can be a threat to wildlife (e.g. birds, bats).

Hydroelectric energy: Advantages: Hydroelectric energy is fueled by water, so it's a clean fuel source, meaning it won't pollute the air like power plants that burn fossil fuels, such as coal or natural gas. Disadvantages: Electricity generation and energy prices are directly related to how much water is available. A drought could potentially affect this.
