In the novels, yes, Luke married Mara Jade, who was originally a student of Emperor Palpatine and became an assassin of his called the Emperor's Hand. She eventually came over to the light side and married Luke, eventually becoming a Jedi Master and member of the Jedi Council. Han and Leia's daughter became her padawan until she also became a Jedi Knight. Mara and Luke had a son, named Ben. Eventually, Mara Jade was killed by Han and Leia's son, who had secretly become a Sith Lord. Mara was one of the few Jedi who possessed a purple lightsaber, which is often used to show that the one wielding it has a bit more darkness in them than normal.

Unfortunately, when Disney decided to make new movies, they struck the novels from the canon. So the novels essentially no longer matter. It remains to be seen whether or not Luke will have a wife in the movies.
