Step-by-step explanation:

I think your question is missed of key information, allow me to add in and hope it will fit the original one.

Please have a look at the attached photo.

My answer:

To find which cylinder has the greater volume, we need to find out the volume of each one.

As we all know that the formula used to determine the volume of a cylinder is:

V = The base area*the height

<=> V = πr^{2}h (cubic units)

For example, in my attached photo, we will use this formula to find the volume of each one.

  • 1. Cylinder A:

The base area = πr^{2} = π3.5^{2} = 38.46 square in

The height = 8.5 in

=> the volume of Cylinder A

= The base area*the height

= 38.46*8.5

= 326.91 cubic in

  • 2. Cylinder B:

The base area = πr^{2} = π2.7^{2} = 22.89 square in

The height = 11 in

=> the volume of Cylinder A

= The base area*the height

= 22.89*11

= 251.79  cubic in

Hence, Cylinder B has the greater volume

Which of the following values for x and y make the equation 4x+2y+3=19 true?
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

x = 3, y = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Substitute the values of x from each alternative in the previous <em>question</em>, then solve for y. This is depicted below.

  • <em>A. y = -7, x = 5, 4(5) + 2y + 3 = 19</em>
  • <em>B. y = 0 and x = 4, 4(4) + 2y + 3 = 19</em>
  • <em>C. y = 2 and x = 3, 4(3) + 2y + 3 = 1</em>
  • <em>D. y = 4, x = 2, 4(2) + 2y + 3 = 19</em>

Only the third option has a y value that is <em>comparable</em> to the value in the computations, according to the calculations.

As a result, the letter C is the correct response.

Given log4(3) =0.7925 and log4(5) =1.1610, use log properties to find log4(300).
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

4.1145

Step-by-step explanation:

You can use the following formula to solve this kind of problems,

log_{a}(b)  +  log_{a}(c)  =  log_{a}(bc)

So, let's start of with log4_(300). Since the question have already gave log4_(3) =0.7925 and log4_(5) =1.1610. It means that you have to split the 300 into the simplest form where almost all of the numbers are 3 and 5.

log_{4}(300)  =  log_{4}(4 \times 5 \times 3 \times 5)  \\  =  log_{4}(4)  + log_{4}(5)  + log_{4}(3)  + log_{4}(5)  \\   = 1 + 1.1610 + 0.7925 + 1.1610 \\  = 4.1145
