said this during the sixth century B.C. in the Chou Empire. There was constant
conflict within states which resulted in the decline of China’s morality. This
is why he stepped in and preached the importance of morality in both personal
and political life.</span>
3) Morality. As the competing systems within states of China had started to compete with the Chou Empire, which had reigned for 500 years, now in approximately 500 B.C. the result was one of chaos. Confucius, through his writings, attempted to idealize that which must be done in order to better harmonize life and at the center of that would be the focus on morality and the fair treatment of individuals with a generally good character - morality.
