dividing a fraction is the same as multiplying by the reciprocal.

\frac{3}{5}÷\frac{-4}{9} = \frac{3}{5}x\frac{-9}{4} = \frac{3 x -9}{5 x 4} = \frac{-27}{20}

Gavin likes biking. He never misses a chance to go for a ride when the weather is nice. This week his goal is to bike about 65 t
Tomtit [17]

It is given in the question that ,

This week his goal is to bike about 65 total miles over four days. Each day, he wants to ride 1.5 times as far as he rode the day before.

Let, on the first day, he drives x miles. On second day,he drives 1.5x. On the third day, he drives 1.5(1.5x) and on the fourth day, he drives 1.5(1.5(1.5x)).

So we have

x+1.5x+1.5(1.5x) + 1.5(1.5(1.5x)) = 65

x+1.5x + 2.25x + 3.375x = 65 \\ 8.125x = 65 \\ x =8

So on the first day, he drives 8 miles.

On second day, he drives 8*1.5 =12 miles

On the third day, he drives 12*1.5 = 18 miles

On the fourth day, he drives 18*1.5 = 27 miles

Which expression is equivalent to?...
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

B x^9 ∛ y

Step-by-step explanation:

(x^27 y) ^ (1/3)

x^27^(1/3) y^(1/3)

We can distribute the exponent a^b ^c = a^(b*c)

x^(27*1/3) y^(1/3)

x^9 y^(1/3)

4(-2d-3)=12, someone please solve this for me asap
wlad13 [49]

4(-3 + -2d) = 12

(-3 * 4 + -2d * 4) = 12

(-12 + -8d) = 12

-12 + -8d = 12

-12 + 12 + -8d = 12 + 12

-12 + 12 = 0

0 + -8d = 12 + 12

-8d = 12 + 12

12 + 12 = 24

-8d = 24

d = -3
