Answer:

The solution will not change.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let y > 2x + p and y < 2x + p,

Where, p is any constant,

∵ If we subtract any number on both sides of an equality, the sign of inequality does not change,

i.e. y - p > 2x   and  y - p < 2x

\implies \frac{y-p}{2} > x\text{ and }\frac{y-p}{2} < x

\implies x\in (-\infty, \frac{y-p}{2})\cap (\frac{y-p}{2}, \infty )-----(1)

Similarly, If the inequality is,

y < 2x + p\text{ and }y > 2x + p

\implies \frac{y-p}{2} < x\text{ and }\frac{y-p}{2} > x

\implies x\in (-\infty, \frac{y-p}{2})\cap (\frac{y-p}{2}, \infty )-----(2)

From equation (1) and (2),

It is clear that, the solution will not change after reversing the sign of inequality.

Answer:

The System of inequality is ,

1. y > 2 x + p

2. y < 2 x + p

Suppose we assign some values to p and q and draw its graph

And, then the inequality sign on both inequalities is reversed

3. y < 2 x + p

4. y > 2 x + p

And , then draw it's graph

it has been found that, the solution set of both the inequality remains same.That is there is no point or set of points , which satisfy both the system of inequality.

The system has no solution.

dusya [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1. So there is two bread options but let's ignore that due every option being the same for both bread options.

2. So if you look there are three meat options meaning there is a one in three chance logical chance someone picks turkey (note when I say logical I mean that doesn't mean that this will be true in real life) and there is a one in two logical chance someone picks Swiss cheese.

3. So with a one in three chance logical meat option and a one two chance cheese option and.

4. Now knowing this it is simple math at this point as simple as \frac{1}{3} x \frac{1}{2}

5. 1 x 1 = 1 and 3 x 2 = 6

6. leading to \frac{1}{6}

Where is the blue dot on the number line? -0.55 -0.6 -0.65
diamong [38]

Answer:

-0.58

Step-by-step explanation:

Since it's 3 more spaces than -0.55 and 2 less than -0.6, the only number it could be (assuming the spaces are even) is -0.58.

Here is some information about 26 houses.a,b and c are all different numbers.Number of bedrooms:1,2,3,4,5.Number of houses:7,a,b
kkurt [141]

Answer:

[a,b,c]=[4,2,5] or [a,b,c]=[2,4,5]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\begin{array}{cccccc}{Bedroom} & {1} & {2} & {3} & {4} & {5} \ \\ {Houses} & {7} & {a} & {b} & {c} & {8} \ \end{array}

n = 26

Median = 3.5

Required

Find a, b and c

Median is calculated as:

Median = \frac{n+1}{2}

Median = \frac{26+1}{2}

Median = \frac{27}{2}

Median = 13.5th

This means that the median is the average of the 13th and 14th item.

\begin{array}{cccccc}{Bedroom} & {1} & {2} & {3} & {4} & {5} \ \\ {Houses} & {7} & {a} & {b} & {c} & {8} \ \end{array}

Since the median is Median = 3.5 (average of 3 and 4),

and:

3 \to b \to 13

4 \to c \to 14

This implies that c begins at 14

So, the number of houses bedrooms 4 and 5 is:

c + 8 = 26 - 14 +1

c + 8 = 13

c = 5

Also

7 + a + b + c + 8 = 26 ---- sum of total frequency

a + b + c = 26 - 7 - 8

a + b + c = 11

Substitute c = 5

a + b + 5 = 11

a + b = 11 - 5

a + b = 6

Since a, b and c are different, then

a and b cannot be 5 because c = 5

a and b cannot be 3 because a = b =3

b \ne 0 because b ends at 13

a

So, possible sets are:

[a,b]=[2,4]

[a,b]=[4,2]

Include c, we have:

[a,b,c]=[4,2,5] or [a,b,c]=[2,4,5]
