Hamlet and Laertes show significant differences. One of the themes is represented in the father-son relationship that both characters have. Whereas Hamlet lacks a relationship with a parental figure, Polonius demonstrates a lovely relationship with Laertes and gives him beautiful pieces of advice when leaving Denmark. The other theme from the list is thought versus action. Hamlet tends to think a lot before taking action and Laertes is more a man of action.

Standardizing is the process of the development and it consists on the refinement and fixing of language. The development in 18th century took place because of Samuel Johnson, son of a bookseller,  who made lasting contributions to English language. It was a part of linguistic movement and it made the printing process efficient, as well.
