Sleep deprivation is very bad for the body mentally and physically. The body uses sleep to repair and heal itself from the stresses and strain of daily life. Without sleep the body becomes less able to function properly. If you have missed sleep then recovery sleep is absolutely necessary to get your body functioning properly again and also to get your circadian rhythm back to normal.
