Each of this give the reader understand the emotional power to the piece. For example Importune tell us that she is bothered by the man and wanted to be left alone. Pine, which means to yearn, gives us the feeling that she misses the time when men longed for her. And finally Scorn which means that she wanted to be left alone in a negative manner.

Answer: The three examples of imagery that I could found in the text and that add the overall tone are the following: “But I the prouder grew” -It shows the readers the pride she felt and how much regret she felt. , “I will so pluck your plumes” - It represents the pain of the people she hurt., and “When I was fair and young” - Repent and regret of how she acted when she was young and beautiful.

(c) List the examples of important details the author chose to include. Explain how these details contribute to the emotional power of the piece.

Answer: I believe that the important details the author chose to include where the way how she responded to the attention from men she had at the time. This not only shows us the readers the mistakes she made but also the reason for her sincere repent.

Answer: I believe the the important details the author chose to omit are the fact of whether or not she chose a man later on or if she later on fell victim to her own decision of turning them away.
