In order to get the answer, we need to know that when we are ask to double, it means we will multiply it by 2. Therefore, three cups times 2 would be 6 cups. So the answer would be 6 cups or 1 and 1/2 quarts since 3 cups is equivalent to 1 and 1/2 pint. Hope this answer helps.
