Answer:

50 minutes = 50/60 hours = 0.8333333333 hours

8 miles / 0.8333333333 hours = 9.60 miles per hour

9 miles / 9.60 miles per hour =

0.9375 hours = 56.25 minutes

Answer:

It would take 56 minutes for the athlete to run 9 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

If an athlete runs 8 miles in 50 minutes, he is doing that in 5/6 or 0.83 of an hour. Therefore, using crossed multiplication, we can know the speed in miles per hour in which he was running:

0.83 = 8

1 = X

8 x 1 / 0.83 = 9.63

As he ran at 9.63 miles/h, we can use another crossed multiplication to know how much time would take him to run 9 miles:

9.63 = 1

9 = X

9 x 1 / 9.63 = 0.934/1 of an hour

0.934 x 60 = 56

It would take 56 minutes for the athlete to run 9 miles.

The perimeter of a rectangle given the area and height.
GuDViN [60]

hello :)

so here i am assuming that 66m^2 is the area and the height is 6.3 (sorry, but the way you wrote it is a bit funny, its all good tho)

so to calculate area it is hieght multipled by width

so you have to divide 66 by 6.3, which gives you this very long number : 10.4761904762

i would personally round it to either just 10 or 10.5

so you would want to write the answer as ≈10.5

hope that helped!

i would appreciate it if you voted me as brainliest :)

Please help me out!!!!!
Neko [114]

Given:

The zeros of the polynomial are -2,\pm 5,4.

Degree = 4

Leading coefficient  = 1

To find:

The polynomial.

Solution:

If c is a zero of a polynomial, then (x-c) must be a factor of the polynomial.

Here, -2,4,-5, 5, are zeros of the required polynomial, so (x+2), (x-4), (x+5), (x-5) are factors of required polynomial.

p(x)=(x+2)(x-4)(x+5)(x-5)

p(x)=(x^2-4x+2x-8)(x^2-5^2)     [\because a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)]

p(x)=(x^2-2x-8)(x^2-25)

Using distributive property, we get

p(x)=x^2(x^2-25)-2x(x^2-25)-8(x^2-25)

p(x)=x^4-25x^2-2x^3+50x-8x^2+200

On combining like terms, we get

p(x)=x^4-2x^3+(-25x^2-8x^2)+50x+200

p(x)=x^4-2x^3-33x^2+50x+200

Here, the leading coefficient is 1. So, it is the required polynomial.

Therefore, the correct option is E.
