This is how I would planed the Jamestown colony to ensure a good and prosperous start. I would endeavour to find an exceptional place with good soil, a freshwater source, and an abundance of strong trees. We would use parts of the trees and make houses suitable for large families, buildings for businesses, and a place to stock valuable and everyday resources, then commence gardening and planting our crops. Some of our strong and resourceful people would hunt for food while we wait for the plants to grow. I would bring and craft axes, guns, and an abundance of weaponry in the case that we see any inimical people who attack. The good workers and lumberjacks or blacksmiths would be put to work. I would ascertain to bring cloth, and a plethora of men for working, hoisting and building, We would bring plant seeds, gardeners, spades, and an abundance of growing utensils, we would find a particular place where the soil is just appropriate for our produce. We would find livestock and breed them to create a steady amount of meat. I would allow all men and women chose the president they consider would shield them from foreigners who intend to cause harm, direct them into living a safe community with equality and justice, and establish a flourishing community with an abundance of resources. A president that would be willing to become allies with different leaders preventing war. We will have laws protecting the people and to keep a sane community with minimal chaos and deaths. The laws will be strictly enforced. We will have an army prepared for almost any form of attack. We will have a trading system so that we can receive good resources and in return help other communities with their resources. The trading system will be strictly organized so we protect ourselves and those who trade resources with us. We will have people practising medicine to help minimize disease and outbreaks. However this is personally how I would have planed out Jamestown. If you do use this, put it into your own words or cite me please. And I apologize in advance if this is not the answer you were looking for. -Copelynn.
Theodore Roosevelt is widely regarded as the first modern President of the United States. The stature and influence that the office has today began to develop with TR. Throughout the second half of the 1800s, Congress had been the most powerful branch of government. And although the presidency began to amass more power during the 1880s, Roosevelt completed the transition to a strong, effective executive. He made the President, rather than the political parties or Congress, the center of American politics.
Roosevelt did this through the force of his personality and through aggressive executive action. He thought that the President had the right to use any and all powers unless they were specifically denied to him. He believed that as President, he had a unique relationship with and responsibility to the people, and therefore wanted to challenge prevailing notions of limited government and individualism; government, he maintained, should serve as an agent of reform for the people.
