Step 1) Find the total circumference

C = pi x d

d = r x 2

d = 5 x 2 = 10

C = pi x 10 = 10pi

Step 2) Find 1/4 of the circumference

10pi / 4 = 2.5pi = 7.85

Step 3) Add the two radii sides to the 1/4 circumference

7.85 + 5 + 5 = 17.85

C = 17.85 feet

Hope this helps! :)

Answer:

17.85ft

Step-by-step explanation:

the quarter circle is 90 degrees, so use this to find the length of the arc (the curve), by doing:

\frac{90}{360}x2x3.14x5

this will give you the answer of 7.85 ft

once you got the length of the arc, add 10 (the two radiuses), to get 17.85ft

hope this helps

Follow the order of operations to find the value of the expression 45÷(17_2)
babymother [125]

The answer is 3 because the order of operations tells you to start off with parenthesis first, which would (I assume would anyways) be 15. Then you would do 45÷15, which is 3.

Max buys six donuts and a 300ml carton of juice for $3.50,susie buys four donuts and two 300ml carton of juice for $3.00,ben buy
Ivanshal [37]

Complete Question

Max buys six donuts and a 300ml carton of juice for $3.50,susie buys four donuts and two 300ml carton of juice for $3.00,ben buys eight donuts and five 300ml carton of juice for $6.50 How much is one donut? How much is one carton of drink

Answer:

The cost of

1 donut = x = $0.50

300ml carton of juice = y = $0.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of

1 donut = x

300ml carton of juice = y

Max buys six donuts and a 300ml carton of juice for $3.50

6x + y = 3.50.....Equation 1

y = 3.50 - 6x

Susie buys four donuts and two 300ml carton of juice for $3.00

4x + 2y = 3...... Equation 2

Ben buys eight donuts and one 300ml carton of juice for $6.50

8x + 5y = 6.50......Equation 3

We substitute 3.50 - 6x for y in Equation 2

4x + 2y = 3...... Equation 2

4x + 2(3.50 - 6x) = 3

4x + 7 - 12x = 3

Collect like terms

4x - 12x = 3 - 7

-8x = -4

x = -4/-8

x = $0.50

Solving for y

y = 3.50 - 6x

y = 3.50 - 6(0.50)

y = 3.50 - 3.00

y = $0.50

Therefore:

The cost of

1 donut = x = $0.50

300ml carton of juice = y = $0.50

Suppose that the functions g and h are defined for all real numbers as follows:
Zinaida [17]
(h+g)(x) = 3x + 5 + 6x = 9x + 5Answer

(h - g)(x) = 6x - (3x + 5) =  3x- 5 Answer

(h*g)(x) =  6x(3x + 5) = 18x^2 + 30x

(h*g)(2) = 18(4) + 30(2) =  72 + 60 = 132 Answer
