Why is it important to think and read like a historian? How will this help us identify how colonization significantly affected t
Arte-miy333 [17]

It is important to think and read like a historian because history gives us subsidies to understand man and his development as a historical being, that is, history helps to understand the facts and situations of a given time that contributed to the occurrence of relevant situations that shaped man's way of living and thinking in ancient times until the construction of the current reality.

Colonization, for example, is a historical fact that significantly affected the lives of people in North America by shaping the continent, through new ideas, goods and diseases brought by the Europeans who colonized the Americas.

Americans who lived freely were enslaved through a system of European exploitation for agricultural production for commercialization, and the institution of new values, behaviors, religion, development of medicine, etc.

Therefore, it is concluded that history helps us to understand the construction of a people through time and cultural formation, and enables men to develop critical thinking, ideas, understanding and paths for a more egalitarian, fair and tolerant development for all citizens.
