Remember PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication ⇔ Division, Addition ⇔ Subtraction). This is the order that you solve expressions in.

5 * 5 - 4 + 445 * 7 + 41 - 82   Multiply 5 and 5
  25 - 4 + 445 * 7 + 41 - 82     Multiply 445 and 7
     25 - 4 + 3115 + 41 - 82       Subtract 4 from 25
        21 + 3115 + 41 - 82          Add 21 and 3115
            3136 + 41 - 82             Add 3136 and 41
                 3177 - 82                 Subtract 82 from 3177
                    3095

What is the equation of the line that passes through the point<br> (5,-2) and has a slope of 6/5
LenKa [72]

Answer:

y = \frac{6x}{5} - 8

Step-by-step explanation:

given slope m = \frac{6}{5}

point (5, -2) for (x1, y1)

equation for point slope form

y - y1 = m(x- x1)

y - (-2) = \frac{6}{5} (x -5)

y + 2 = \frac{6}{5}x - 6, simplify

y = \frac{6x}{5} - 8,

further you can multiply by 5 to get rid of fraction

5y = 6x - 40

Evaluate the expression. 8 + 12 • 7
arsen [322]
Multiply first, then add. 12 times 7 = 84. Then add 8. 84 + 8 = 92.

PLEASE HELP!!!! WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!!In two or more complete sentences explain how you would set up and solve the following eq
olchik [2.2K]

Peter's account is 910-40x, and Marla's account is 470-2x. This is a system, so you must find the number that makes both equations end up with the same number. Basically trial and error. Here is what I did:

Let's try the number 10. 910-400=510 and 470-20=450. I need a higher number.

Let's try 13 next. 910-520=390 and 470-26=444. Now the number has to be lower.

Let's try 12. 910-480=430 and 470-24=446. Close, and a little lower.

11.5 is too low, and 11.7 is too high.  11.6 has Equation 1 at 446 and Equation 2 at 446.8. Very close!

It is somewhere around 11.6. I hope that this can give you a start in figuring it out, because I don't believe in giving the complete answer, because then you do not learn anything from it.
