In that first foray, the Babylonians did not destroy the Temple, nor send the Jews into exile. However, they did succeed in taking into captivity 10,000 of the best and brightest Jews.

Options A,C and D are not correct. They are generally not necessarily correct about democracy. First, democracy usually means a written law. second, democracy does not have to do with religion. On the other hand, however, democracy does not necessarily mean councils. I still think that B is the best answer since democracy means not being ruled by an absolute ruler although the ruler can be some sort of council or Parliament.

Answer:

The Jim Crow laws were a legal system of racism and discrimination. They had a very negative affect on African Americans, "white schools" were typically better than schools for African Americans. "Jobs for African Americans" also paid less than "jobs for white people". If I had been subject to this discrimination I would feel angry and abused.
