The stratospheric layer of the earth is the layer which is covered by the molecules of ozone. The ozone layer prevents the entry of incident rays of ultraviolet and infrared rediations. These radiations can cause skin diseases in humans and drastic mutations which can be carcinogenic (cancer causing)

The destruction of the stratospheric layer will allow the entry of the harmful radiations which will cause drastic mutations. These mutations can also cause cancer.
