</span>If the plant has leaves that appear to be blue-green, it means that the photosynthetic pigment reflects the green and blue light/radiation from the visible spectrum, or the radiation between 450-570 nm from the visible spectrum. A white light is composed of all colours, the whole visible spectrum, therefore, when white light is put over the plant's leaves, the leaves will reflect a blue-green colour and absorb all the other colours.
Since the sun is only out during the day, the heat from the sun warms up the temperature, longer days means more sun time, more sun time means more heat
