Correlation is a mutual relationship or connection between two or more things. In our example a correlation of +0.80 between height and weight for adults means. A) 80%. The correlation measures the extent to which knowing the value of height helps you to predict the value of weight. Even with a high correlation of +0.80, we cannot really expect two persons with exactly the same height to have exactly the same weight. Almost always there is some difference.  What this says is that, as height goes higher, the weight goes higher, too.

It is a small RNA molecules that interfere with gene expression.
Semmy [17]

Answer:

miRNA ( micro RNA )

Explanation:

The small RNA molecule that interfere with gene expression are miRNA. The miRNA is micro RNA that are non-coding molecules of RNA. These small RNA regulate gene expression after transcription (post transcription).

The miRNA binds to 3' UTR region (untranslated region ) and halt the process of protein production and thereby silencing mRNA.

In hemoglobin, the transition from t state to r state (low to high affinity) is triggered by:_________
Elena L [17]

In hemoglobin, the transition from t state to r state (low to high affinity) is triggered by Bisphosphoglycerate (BPG)

  • Bisphosphoglycerate (BPG), also known as 2,3-Disphosphoglycerate (2,3-DPG), aids in the transition of hemoglobin from a high-oxygen-affinity to a low-oxygen-affinity state.
  • 2,3-BPG binds to hemoglobin, causing oxygen to be unloaded. Furthermore, 2,3-BPG reduces hemoglobin's affinity for oxygen. As hemoglobin is unloaded in our tissues, 2,3-BPG binds to it, promoting oxygen unloading.
  • When we increase the concentration of 2,3-BPG in our blood, the oxygen binding curve shifts to the right. This means hemoglobin will have a lower affinity for oxygen and will be able to deliver more oxygen to our body's tissues and cells.
