DNA replication is a complex process to make exact copy of the DNA.

Errors which occur during the process of replication caused by mis-pairing of base pair or by addition or deletion of nucleotides can become  permanent mutations after the next cell division as DNA replication takes place during S-phase of cell division and once established cell no longer recognize them as error. These accumulated permanent errors or mutation can produce tumors causing cancer in organisms.

Translation is a process involved in the synthesis of proteins from intermediate mRNA within cell which is a functional part of gene expression not cell division.

Thus, would lead to permanent mutation in DNA and cause cancer is the correct answer.

If I am not wrong, I believe the answer is Producers. The reason as to why I say that producers is the answer is because in every food chain, there needs to be a base. That base is what provides the starting energy that will later on move up in the food chain.
