1) Carbon tetrabromide, CBr₄

The name of the compound describes the the chemical composition of the compound by

a) Making mention of the elements in the compound, which are carbon and bromine

b) Specifying the quantity of the element that has more than one atom per mole of the compound, by making mention of the number in Roman

Here there are four bromine atoms per mole which is mentioned as tetra before the cation is mentioned as bromide or ide for-1 oxidation state for the halogens

c) Indicating the oxidation state of the cation

2) Magnesium oxide, MnO

The name of the compound describes the the chemical composition of the compound by

a) Making mention of the elements in the compound, which are magnesium and oxygen

b) Specifying the quantity of the elements as one each by leaving out the numbering suffix in the name

c) Indicating the oxidation state of the cation, oxygen, as an oxide with a -2 charge

3) Magnesium Nitrate Mn(NO₃)₂

The name of the compound describes the the chemical composition of the compound by

a) Making mention of the elements and groups in the compound, which are magnesium and bitrate group

b) Specifying the group by the group name which consists of a means to determine the detailed content of the group

Metric conversions.
Please help ASAP.
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

14. 13.2cg = 1.32dg

15. 3.8m = 0.0038km

16. 24.8L = 24800mL

17. 0.87kL = 870L

18. 26.01cm = 0.0002601km

19. 0.001hm = 10cm

Explanation:

14. 13.2/10 = 1.32

15. 38/1000 = 0.0038

16. 24.8(1000) = 24,800

17. 0.87(1000) = 870

18. 26.01/100000 = 0.0002601

19. 0.001hm(10000) = 10

An easy way to do these by yourself is to familiarize yourself with what each prefix means. Once you do this, you can multiply the value of the prefix when converting from a smaller unit of measurement to a larger one and divide the value of the prefix when converting from a large unit of measurement to a smaller one.

Oxygen and hydrogen are most likely to form what type of bond?
tekilochka [14]
Oxygen and Hydrogen would most likely form a covalent bond that is polar, or a polar covalent bond. Due to the electronegativity difference between the 2 elements, unequal sharing of the valence electrons will occur, electrons being in closer proximity to Oxygen and farther away from Hydrogen. Resulting in the characteristic partial positive and negative charges to appear for the respective elements.

Some chemical compounds are listed in the first column of the table below. Each compound is soluble in water. Imagine that a few
arsen [322]

Ionic substances produce ions in solution while molecular substances produce molecules in solution.

What is a solution?

A solution is a combination of solute and solvent. The species that occur in solution depends on the type of substance that was dissolved. Since the table is not shown, we do not know exactly what compounds were dissolved in solution.

Generally, if an ionic substance is dissolved in solutions that ions are present in the solution. If a molecular substance is dissolved in solution, molecules are present in solution.
