The type of figurative language that compares two unlike things without using the words such as "like" or "as" is called a metaphor. The correct answer is option A. Metaphor is used to compare two different things in an implied manner. For example: To her husband, she is the apple of his eye. Two things compared here: Her (wife) and the apple.

ss7ja [257]

The significance of the conversation between Sierra and her friends about how their neighborhood is changing is the foreshadowing of the shapeshifters.

What is Foreshadowing?

This refers to the literary technique that is used to show the prediction or hint about future events in a story.

Hence, we can see that although your question is incomplete, I can infer that you refer to the book Shapeshifter and the foreshadowing used shows the mayhem that is about to befall the neighborhood when dark shapes begin to move as they are possessed by spirits.

Can Someone please check my essay, The words in red are the mistakes that the professor thinks I’ve made, i don’t see it tbh I m
vichka [17]

For the first red, you don't need an article before "relationship".

When you're saying "type of [word]", do not put any article before that word.

Example: "a type of device"

Not too sure about the "your back" parts. It could be your teacher does not like repition.

Also not too sure about "did". He probably wanted you to use the word "felt" instead of "did feel"

The first word of the last paragraph should be "in" not "at".

The red commas definitely do not need to be there.

Don't know why he marked "time to" and "to" red.
