Ebeneezer Scrooge for your dynamic character (or the grinch) and Scar from the Lion King (Simbas uncle) for static. The grinch (or Ebeneezer) finally understand why everyone loves christmas and they learn to enjoy it over time too. They finally warm up and see the importance of bringing people together in the end. Scar from the lion king doesn’t change his thinking throughout the movie in any way and he continues to torment the rest of the characters until his death at the end.

In this excerpt from song of myself, which literary device does Whitman use to address the sea?*picture*
ra1l [238]

In this excerpt from "Song of Myself", the literary device that Whitman uses to address the sea is (C.) apostrophe.

Apostrophe is a literary device that consists in speaking directly to an inanimate object or to someone that cannot answer. In this excerpt from Whitman's poem, the speaker is talking to the sea as if it was real human being capable of understanding the way he feels ("Cushion me soft, rock me in billowy drowse, Dash me with amorous wet, I can repay you"). The use of apostrophe allows the poet to produce a more creative perspective and to develop a dramatic effect.
