The wind chill factor represents the equivalent air temperature at a standard wind speed that would produce the same heat loss a

s the given temperature and wind speed. One formula for computing the equivalent temperature is
W(t) = {■([email protected](10.45+10√v-v)(33-t)/[email protected](33-t) ) ┤ ■(if 0≤v<[email protected] 1.79≤v<[email protected] v≥20)

where v represents the wind speed (in meters per second) and t represents the air temperature . Compute the wind chill for an air temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 12 meters per second. (Round the answer to one decimal place.) Show your work.

Those wind chill formulas are REALLY complex.
Attached are the formulas for wind chill (F and C) plus the OLD wind chill formula.
Here's a wind chill calculator I wrote. http://www.1728.org/windchil.htm

(I figured you might need all the help you can get.)

Finger [1]

Answer:

528 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

First I would calculate the area of the side rectangles:

20 x 9 = 180 cm²

There are two identical rectangles on both sides so i would x2

180 x 2 = 360 cm²

The area of the middle rectangle:

6 x 20 = 120 cm²

The area of the triangles:

Area of a triangle = (Base x Height)/2

8 x 6 = 48

48 ÷ 2 = 24

There are two identical triangles on the bottom and the top so x2

24 x 2 = 48

Now add all the values up:

360 + 120 + 48 = 528 cm²

I hope this helps!
