Which does not explain why a large part of the Great Plains became known as the "Dust Bowl"?

The correct answer is A, as the option that doesn't explain why a large part of the Great Plains became known as the Dust Bowl is that the soil of the Great Plains was too rocky to support farming, as that statement is not true. The Great Plains are a very fertile area, with land suitable for agriculture and cattle raising.

The option that does not explain why a large part of the Great Plains became known as the "Dust Bowl" would be that "<span>The soil of the Great Plains was too rocky to support farming," since the soil was (usually) relatively fertile. </span>

Kruka [31]
So the New Wngland colonies are agreat example for this. Massachusetts for example had particularly rocky soil and cold, long winters so crops did not really grow as well as they would have say, in New York or in Virginia. So while there were some small, family farms, the biggest industries in Massachusetts were ship building, fishing, and trading.

Answer:

The Three Fs stood for fair rent, fixity of tenure and free sale

Explanation:

Free sale, fixity of tenure, and fair rent, also known as the Three Fs, were a set of demands first issued by the Tenant Right League in their campaign for land reform in Ireland from the 1850s.

  • Fair rent—meaning rent control: for the first time in the United Kingdom, fair rent would be decided by land courts, and not by the landlords;
  • Free sale—meaning a tenant could sell the interest in his holding to an incoming tenant without landlord interference;
  • Fixity of tenure—meaning that a tenant could not be evicted if he had paid the rent.

Many historians argue that their absence contributed severely to the Great Irish Famine (1846–49), as it allowed the mass eviction of starving tenants. The Three Fs were campaigned for by a number of political movements, notably the Independent Irish Party (1852–1858) and later the Irish Parliamentary Party during the Land War (from 1878). They were conceded by the British Government in a series of Irish Land Acts enacted from the 1870s on, with essentially full implementation in the Land Law (Ireland) Act 1881.

Explain the results of the Crusades.
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

Crusades

The Crusades were a series of religious wars initiated, supported, and sometimes directed by the Latin Church in the medieval period. The term refers especially to the Eastern Mediterranean campaigns in the period between 1096 and 1271 that had the objective of recovering the Holy Land from Islamic rule. The term has also been applied to other church-sanctioned campaigns fought to combat paganism and heresy, to resolve conflict among rival Roman Catholic groups, or to gain political and territorial advantage. The difference between these campaigns and other Christian religious conflicts was that they were considered a penitential exercise that brought forgiveness of sins declared by the church. Historians contest the definition of the term "crusade". Some restrict it to only armed pilgrimages to Jerusalem; others include all Catholic military campaigns with a promise of spiritual benefit; all Catholic holy wars; or those with a characteristic of religious fervour.
