Explanation: Supplementary angles add to 180 degrees, so the supplement of angle x is 180 - x. Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees, so the complement of x is 90-x. Supplement is 120, complement is 30, 120 is four times 30.

Why is the Tree of life so complicated
madam [21]
A basic source of the confusion is that in the course of evolution whole suites of genes have apparently been transferred sideways among the major branches. Among animals, genes are passed vertically from parent to child but single-celled creatures tend to engulf each other and occasionally amalgamate into a corporate genetic entity. It has long been argued that mitochondria, the tiny organelles that handle the energy metabolism of eukaryotic cells, were once free-living bacteria that were enslaved by an early eukaryote. Mitochondria still possess their own, bacteria-like DNA but many of their genes have emigrated into the eukaryotic cell's own DNA in the nucleus.

The percentage of air that is oxygen decreases as altitude increases. the percentage of air that is oxygen decreases as altitude
aleksandr82 [10.1K]
This is considered false. Although the percentage of all air remains the exact same regardless of altitude, it all matters about the air pressure in the atmosphere. Even though the percentage would be the same, there would be fewer oxygen molecules at higher altitudes and lower pressure.
