Emily Dickinson was writing about how instead of organized religion she prefers to stay home and feel the god in herself, in a way. So when she explains this she says "an Orchard" speaking presumably of a space in her own house, and "for a dome" to contrast it with the kind of grand architecture displayed in churches.

In “Some Keep the Sabbath Going to Church” the speaker says that she has “an Orchard, for a Dome” in the first stanza because she is suggesting that only she is able to view the natural world or sacred.  “Some Keep the Sabbath Going to Church” is a poem from Emily Dickinson.

EXPLANATION:

“Some Keep the Sabbath Going to Church” is a poem about how the speaker of the poem displays her devotion to God and behave on a religious holiday, Sabbath. Sabbath is a day where people are supposed to be free from all of their duties. They should spend the day in the church and worship the Almighty.

Emily Dickinson, as the writer of the poem, tells that while most of the people go to the church for worship in Sabbath, the speaker of the poem remains at home. She has the orchard as the church and the Bobolink as the choir as the substitutes of the going to the church just like others. She wears what she wears daily while others follow a certain dress code and other Catholic norms. She thinks that it is her way to worship on the Sabbath. She thinks that only by nature does worship could be done.

It is about how the speaker of the poem sees the Sabbath differently as others. She thinks that Sabbath should be celebrated at home, not in the church. She thinks that Sabbath should be celebrated in the natural world or sacred.
