Just can decorate 2 full cakes. 6 divides by 3 is 2. So she decorated 2 per hour. If you do the work it’s 2 divided by 0.75 (3/4) you get 2 2/3. But that’s not a full 3 cakes so only 2. Glad to help!

Given parallelogram ABCD, diagonals AC and BD intersect at point E. AE=11x−3 and CE=12−4x. Find the length of AC.
Oxana [17]

Answer:

AC=16 units

Step-by-step explanation:

The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other. It was given that diagonals AC and BD intersect at point E.

This implies that: AE=CE.

We substitute the expression for x, we get:

11x-3=12-4x.

Group similar terms to get:

11x+4x=12+3.

15x=15.

x=1

AC = 2(12-4x)

AC=2(12-4(1))

AC=2(8)

AC=16

Calculate the area of this trapezium.
7.9 cm
6.2 cm
10.8 cm
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

A = 57.97 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

The area (A) of a trapezium is calculated as

A = \frac{1}{2} h (a + b)

where h is the perpendicular height and a, b the parallel bases

Here h = 6.2, a = 10.8 and b = 7.9, thus

A = \frac{1}{2} × 6.2 × (10.8 + 7.9) = 3.1 × 18.7 = 57.97 cm²

2x = 4y + 8, x - 2y = 4
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer: x = 8, y = 2, coordinates (8,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

2x = 4y + 8 (divide by 2 to get value of x)

x = 2y + 4

(now substitute x into the second equation to find value of y)

2y + 4 - 2y = 4

2y - 2y = 4 - 4 (divide by 2 to get value of y)

y - y = 2 - 2

y = 2

Now plug in value of "y" to get value of "x".

x - 2(2) = 4

x - 4 = 4

x = 8

Coordinates (8,2)
