PLEASE HELP ME THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!
Alina [70]
The second choice is the answer: the initial value is the y value (which is 4) and the rate of change is the slope. The slope is calculated with rise/run, so the rise in this situation is that it moves down (negative) by 3 (rise=-3) and the run is how much it moves to the right (run=4). Therefore, the rate of change is rise/run which is -3/4

Read the problem and answer the questions show your solution when necessary.
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Number of white chocolate bars = x

Number of dark chocolate bars = y

Total bars = 15

x + y = 15 --------------(I)

Total cost = Php. 340

20x + 25y = 340 ----------------(II)

2)  We can use elimination method to solve this equations.

Multiply equation (I) by (-20) and then add the equations.

(I)* (-20)          -20x  -20y = - 300

(II)                    <u>20x + 25y = 340 </u>     {Now add and x will be eliminated}

                                  5y = 40

                                    y = 40/5

y = 8

Substitute y = 8 in equation (I)

x + 8 = 15

      x = 15 - 8

x = 7

3) Number of dark chocolate bars = 8

After the drama club sold 100 tickets to a show, it had $300 in profit. After the next show, it had sold a total of 200 tickets
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

Option a :  y-300 = 4(x - 100)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

The drama club sold 100 tickets to a show, it had $300 in profit.

The next show, it had sold a total of 200 tickets and had a total of $700 profit.

To Find :  Equation models the total profit, y, based on the number of tickets sold, x

Solution :

For 100 tickets he had $300 in profit .

⇒ (x_{1} ,y_{1})=(100,300)

For 200 tickets he had $700 in profit .

⇒ (x_{2} ,y_{2})=(200,700)

We will use point slope form i.e.

y-y_{1} = m(x - x_{1}) --(A)

Now, to calculate m we will use slope formula :

m = \frac{y_{2} -y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

m = \frac{700 -300}{200-100}

m =4

Now, putting values in (A)

y-300 = 4(x - 100)

Thus Option a is correct i.e. y-300 = 4(x - 100)
