Answer:

Horizontal stretch:

If a parent function y = f(x) ,

Replace x with \frac{x}{n} result in horizontal stretch by a factor of n.

then a new function become g(x) = f(\frac{x}{n})

As per the statement:

Horizontally stretch the quadratic parent function f(x) = x^2 by a factor of 4 .

By definition of Horizontal stretch:

A equation of new function become:

g(x) = f(\frac{x}{4})=(\frac{x}{4})^2=\frac{1}{16}x^2

therefore, a equation of the new function is, g(x) = \frac{1}{16}x^2

If 150g of sugar is used for 5 cakes<br> How much is used for 7 cakes?:)
KIM [24]
Well, if 150 grams is used for 5 cakes, we can divide that.
150/5=30. 30 grams of sugar are used for each cake
You want to know how many grams for 7 cakes
30x7=<u><em>210 grams of sugar are used for seven cakes.

On a fair 6-sided die each number has an equal probability p of being rolled. When a fair die is rolled n times, the most likely
Feliz [49]
A 1.5 standard deviation above the mean is
np + 1.5 <span>√(np(1-p))

We are given with
np = 200
p = 200/n
The standard deviation is
</span><span>√200(1-200/n))

Substituting
200 + 1.5 </span>√200(1-200/n))
By inspection, if the value of n is 200, then the radical will result to the value of 1. Only by increasing the value of n greater than 200 will the radical result to a value of less than 1 and decreasing the spread of the mean.
The answer is
the minimum is 201
the maximum is infinity

If &lt;3 and &lt;4 are vertical angles and m&lt;3=9x+5 and m&lt;4=5x+33 find &lt;4
KatRina [158]

Answer:

<em>68 degrees</em>

Step-by-step explanation

If <3 and <4 are vertical angles, then <3 = <4

This means that

9x + 5 = 5x + 33

9x - 5x  = 33 - 5

4x = 28

x = 28/4

x = 7

Since <4 = 5x+ 33

<4 = 5(7) + 33

<4 = 35 + 33

<4 = 68 degrees

<em>Hence the measure of <4 is 68 degrees</em>

hammer [34]
A local hamburger shop sold a total of 712 burgers on Tuesday

There are 62 more cheeseburgers than hamburgers

let cheeseburers = c
let hamburgers = h

h + 62 = c
c + h = 712

Plug in h + 62 for c

(h + 62) + h = 712
2h + 62 = 712
2h + 62 (-62) = 712 (-62)
2h = 650
2h/2 = 650/2
h = 325

There are 325 hamburgers sold on Tuesday

c = 325 + 62
c = 387

<em>There are 387 chesseburgers sold on tuesday </em>(in case you were wondering)

hope this helps
