Why did congolese sentries cut off people's' hands?
Free_Kalibri [48]
Hello!

The Congolese sentries cut off people's hands because it was proof that they did not waste the supply they had been given (it proved that they were getting their hands cut off when they weren't working).

To this day Robert E Lee is a respected military leader is this phrase justified? Why or why not?
sineoko [7]
He must not since his statue is being taken down. Let’s just say he was respected at one point probably due to fear but when Lincoln came along, people hated him I believe since he was from the south and the south loved to keep their slaves and severely punished them if they tried to escape or messed up something. I am not 100% percent certain that’s just what I think. I don’t think it is justified since he kept slaves as prisoners and physically punished them and treated them as animals. My personal opinion ‍♀️
