3x − x − 1 = 15<br> What is x
azamat

Answer: x=8

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

3x−x−1=15

3x+−x+−1=15

(3x+−x)+(−1)=15(Combine Like Terms)

2x+−1=15

2x−1=15

Step 2: Add 1 to both sides.

2x−1+1=15+1

2x=16

Step 3: Divide both sides by 2.

2x /2 = 16 /2

x=8

Determine whether the sequence converges or diverges. if it converges give the limit.
posledela
The sequence converges.
The limit of the sequence is 0.

-------------------------------------------------------------

This is a geometric sequence with the first term a = 48 and r = 1/4 = 0.25 as the common ratio. Since |r| < 1, this means that the terms are steadily getting smaller and smaller. The terms will approach 0 but not actually get there.

Note: if you added up all the terms of this infinite sequence, then the sum would be S = a/(1-r) = 48/(1-0.25) = 64

B/3+5=-2<br> Two Step Equation
Norma-Jean [14]

\textsf{Hey there!}

\mathsf{\dfrac{b}{3}+5=-2}

\mathsf{STEP\ ONE:} \textsf{Simplify BOTH sides of your equation}

\mathsf{LIKE: \ \dfrac{1}{3}b + 5 = -2}

\textsf{STEP TWO: SUBTRACT  by 5 on your sides}

\mathsf{\dfrac{1}{3}b+5-5=-2-5}

\textsf{Cancel out: 5 - 5 because it gives you 0}

\textsf{Keep: -2 - 5 because it helps us solve for our b value}

\mathsf{-2 - 5 =-7}

\mathsf{New\ equation: \underline{\dfrac{1}{3}b = -7}}

\textsf{STEP THREE: MULTIPLY both sides by 3}

\mathsf{3 \times\dfrac{1}{3}b = 3\times-7}

\mathsf{Cancel\ out: 3\times\dfrac{1}{3}\ because\ it\ gives\ you\  1}

\mathsf{Keep: 3\times-7\ because\ it\ helps\ solve\ for\ b}

\mathsf{3\times-7=-21}

\boxed{\textsf{Thus, your answer is most likely: \boxed{\mathsf{b = -21}}}}\checkmark

\text{Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!}
