First you want to multiply whats in the parentheses by 2

8x-22+9=19

then calculate the sum

8x-13=19

then move the constant to the other side and change the sign

8x=19+13

Then add 19 and 13 together

8x=32

Then divide both sides by 8

x=4

Then you are left with your answer:

x=4

Hope this helps! :3

Volume of the cylinder with diameter of 8mm and height of 8mm
alexdok [17]

Answer:

V = 402.12385mm

Step-by-step explanation:

When the diameter is 8mm, the radius is 4mm.

V = (π(4^2))8

V = (16π)8

V = (50.2654)8

V = 402.12385

V ≈ 402, 402.1, 402.12, 402.124

A regular hexagon has sides of 2 feet. What is the area of the hexagon?
il63 [147K]

Trigonometry would help with this question.

The area of a regular hexagon is ((3√3)s^2)/2 where s is the side.

Plugging in 2 gives us 6√3 or 10.39 feet.

A man has 1 coins in his pocket, all of which are dimes and quarters. Aif the total value of his change is $2.75, how many dimes
VLD [36.1K]

Using a system of equations, it is found that there are 5 dimes and 9 quarters in his pocket.

What is a system of equations?

A system of equations is when two or more variables are related, and equations are built to find the values of each variable.

In this problem, the variables are given as follows:

 • Variable x: number of dimes in his pocket.
 • Variable y: number of quarters in his pocket.

He has a total of 14 coins, hence:

x + y = 14 -> y = 14 - x.

They are worth $2.75, hence, considering the value of each coin(dimes $0.1 and quarters $0.25), we have that:

0.1x + 0.25y = 2.75

Since y = 14 - x:

0.1x + 0.25(14 - x) = 2.75

x = (0.25*14 - 2.75)/0.15.

x = 5.

y = 14 - x = 14 - 5 = 9.

There are 5 dimes and 9 quarters in his pocket.
