Answer:

Say it in a different way and check if that was the point.

Explanation:

In any discussion or even a competitive debate or discussion, the speakers of the event have to have  clear understanding and knowledge of what the topic being discussed is. And when there is any unclear or confusing response from the other people, the best possible response for this case is to try to say it in a different way, so as to check if the person's point is correct. And if the point is wrong, that will enable the responder to correct or say his point again, while at the same time allowing the speaker/ participant to understand and get the chance to re-know the point. changing the subject to a new question or telling the person to make more sense is no way to address a confusing or unclear point.

eimsori [14]

Answer:

16 East Drive,

Boston.

26th June, 2020.

To the Editor,

The Boston Daily.

CORONA VIRUS: IMPORTANCE OF OUR HEALTH ARE FACILITIES

Dear Sir,

The corona virus caught us unawares to a large extent. Many of us did not know what to do to prevent it, even though we got guidelines on the mass media, the hospitals were largely uninformed about some important information about the virus early on which caused quite a number of avoidable deaths. Our health care workers have worked valiantly to curb this menace that has come upon not just our society but the whole world but at a time, even they were overwhelmed.

The importance of our healthcare facilities cannot be overemphasised so in the wake of recent happenings, I do hope you will include more editorials in the paper about steps to make sure we don't have such number of tragedies from any other outbreak in the future.

Thank you for your time.

Yours faithfully,

Emma White.

Calcium is essential for strong bones and teeth. what kind of phrase is the bolded words?
Marta_Voda [28]

Assuming the bolded words are: <em>"for strong bones and teeth"</em> and that you had to choose between:

  1. <em>noun phrase</em>
  2. <em>adverb phrase</em>
  3. <em>verb phrase</em>
  4. <em>adjective phrase</em>

It is an adjective phrase (4).

An adjective phrase is a group of words complementing, specifying, or modifying a 'head' adjective in the sentence. It is called an adjective (or adjectival) phrase because the whole group of words functions as an adjective, which means it provides information about a noun.

Here, the adjective phrase "for strong bones and teeth" is specifying the head adjective "essential." It is functioning as an adjective for the noun "calcium" by giving us information about it.
