The glacier has moved 2 over 3 of a meter in 3 over 4 of a day.

Distance moved by glacier = 2 over 3 = 2/3 m

Duration in which 2/3 distance was moved = 3 over 4 of a day = 3/4 day

So we have to find unit rate in meter(s)/day.

Unit rate can be found by dividing distance moved by duration in which the distance was moved.

So finding unit rate:

Unit rate =\frac{distance moved}{duration}

We are given distance moved 2/3 and duration as 3/4.

Plugging these values in the formula for unit rate,

Unit rate =\frac{2/3}{3/4}

In division of fraction, we take reciprocal of second fraction and multiply it with the first.

Unit rate =\frac{2}{3} *\frac{4}{3}

Unit rate = 8/9 m/day

Answer : Unit rate at which glacier is moving is (8/9) meters per day.

If a polygon has an area of 25cm and is dilated by a factor of 3, what will be the area of the dilated polygon?
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

225 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

dilatation factor = 3 , then

area factor = 3² = 9

the area of the dilated polygon is then 9 times the area of the original so

area of dilated polygon = 9 × 25 = 225 cm²

I’m confused on this one
ziro4ka [17]

Compare the values they have given you with the diagram. a, b and c are all sides of the triangle they want you to find the perimeter of. Knowing this, all you have to do is add a, b and c. h is not important because you don't count the altitude of a triangle when you calculate perimeter.

12 + 10 + 12 = 34

The perimeter of the triangle is 34 ft.

Solve for x
-4.5(x-8.9)=12.6
enter your answer as a decimal
saveliy_v [14]

Answer:

x = 11.7

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the following equation: -4.5(x-8.9)=12.6

First we divide both parts of the equation by -4.5

Then: (-4.5(x-8.9))/-4.5 = 12.6/-4.5

We get: (x-8.9) = 2.8

Then, solving for x:

(x-8.9) = 2.8 -> x = 2.8 + 8.9 = 11.7

The solution is: x = 11.7

I am a product. one of my fiactors is 7. the sum of my factors equals 11. what number am i?
adell [148]
The asnwer is 28. Since 7 is one of the factors,and 7+x=11,you would do 11-7 to find x. After doing 11-7 to find x (4),then you multiply 7 and 4 since they are the factors of the missing number. 7×4 is 28,therefore,you are the number 28.
