Answer:

d. something is either unique or not unique.

Explanation:

Although this expression is very common ("the most unique"), if we take the literal definition of the word <u>unique</u>, it doesn't really make much sense. That because unique means: " being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else." So in the end, you're either unique or not unique. You can't be a little unique or too unique because it doesn't fit the meaning of the word literally. The expression, though, is used to emphasize the uniqueness of the person.

Answer: The statement does not make sense because D. something is either unique or not unique.

Explanation: The adjective "unique" is used to describe someone or something as being the only one of its kind. Taking into account this definition, <u>"unique" has been classified as an absolute adjective: a person/a thing is either unique or not unique.</u> Therefore,<u> this adjective should not be modified</u>. In other words<u>, "unique" should not be used in its comparative form nor in its superlative form</u>. As Audrey used the superlative form of "unique" ("most unique") to refer to Kyle, her statement does not make sense.

Most apprentices were between eight and 10 years old when they went to live with an artisan. How would you feel about becoming a
Licemer1 [7]

I would feel slightly intimidated that somebody so young could be prepared for such jobs but starting earlier could help their experience. the expectations are high these days because apprenticeship is popular, but imagine how it was back then. It wouldn't completely put me off apprenticeship but I understand the uncertainty because of competition for employment and eagerness to impress/work hard under stressful conditions.
