They each contributed $6.75. I got that because i divided the $27.00 by the 4 friends and got $6.75, to make sure I also multiplied the $6.75 by 4 and got $27.00

4x - 2 (x-2) = -4 + 5x -13
kolezko [41]

Answer:

x = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

4x - 2(x - 2) = - 4 + 5x - 13 ← distribute left side and simplify

4x - 2x + 4 = 5x - 17

2x + 4 = 5x - 17 ( subtract 5x from both sides )

- 3x + 4 = - 17 ( subtract 4 from both sides )

- 3x = - 21 ( divide both sides by - 3 )

x = 7
