Read the excerpt from the article "Madurodam: A Tiny Wonder." Which topic sentence best applies to the passage? The miniature pa

rk of Madurodam was originally built for the young George Maduro by his parents. Today the place is open for visitors who want to feel like a giant for a day. It is like a real version of the classic novel Gulliver's Travels, where Gulliver visits Lilliput, a land filled with small beings. Everything in Madurodam is about 25 times smaller than real life. Visitors get to see scaled-down versions of some of the famous Dutch landmarks and cities. It is a source of great enjoyment for visitors and tourists who are able to bend down and touch the tiny ships in the harbor or cover the lighthouse beacon with their hands. 1:Miniature parks are a source of fascination and wonder for children and adults alike. 2:The Madurodam houses tiny cities and tiny landmarks for visitors to look at. 3:The Madurodam was a labor of love built for young George Maduro by his parents. 4The miniature city of Madurodam in the Netherlands is a great attraction for tourists.

I would say the last choice, or answer four is the best fit topic sentence.

The sentence summarizes and explains the paragraph accurately. The first two choices make sense but don't best fit this paragraph in particular. Choice 3 is good too but the paragraph goes more into detail about the actual park and not his parent's motives.
